    Default Users and folders mess!

Hi, I'm new to the forum, so I hope I put this request the right way.
I'm the only user of my Dell Studio 1555, so I reckon that I'm the administrator (Alan-PC). But Win7 suggested I have should have a standard user too, so I added Alan. Then I decided that was too complicated so I deleted Alan, or tried to. I didn't know how to copy in my folders from an external hard drive, and somehow added them in the wrong place. Most things seem to work but I want to sort out the mess - where do I start? The path from root to 'My Documents' as shown in Windows Explorer is:

C:\Users\Alan\Desktop\Alan_2\Alan\My Documents (and Desktop, Favorites, Music, Pictures, Videos). The My Documents folder leads to the folders and files that I use all the time

Under Desktop\Libraries\Documents in the WE menu there is a duplicate but limited set of 'Alan' files which doesn't update.

Under Alan-PC in the WE menu the subfolders are Contacts, Desktop, Downloads, Favorites, Links, My Documents, My Music, My Videos, Saved Games, Searches. The My Documents folder leads to the duplicate but limited set of 'Alan' folders which doesn't update.

Any guidance would be great, thank-you!

Thanks for your reply - the first since I posted in January! In the end I found I could delete the surplus folders and the computer is pretty near normal now - at least as far as the folders are concerned
