Mouse Hover Problems

I'm running Win7 with MS Office 2010

Using Single Click on Mouse

Was having a problem activating files when I hovered on them. They would only stay ligh blue. If I look for a white space in the folder then click then I can hover over and highlight the item properly.

So I saw some threads about Activate a window by hovering over it with the mouse. I checked the box and it hovers over and highlights the files perfect.

I then went to Outlook to create an email and when I went to enter an email address, I try to pick from the drop down the address and the drop down disapears and I can't pick an address.

I unchecked the Active window and Outlook works but picking files does not.
