Interesting that you posted this... was this in reference to another
thread? I'd actually like to try running IE7 & IE8 on Vista... are
there people who have hacked this on and posted a guide? Formal
support is not an issue for me.

Formal support *should* be an issue for you. About a year ago I made the
mistake of installing a package which purported to allow multiple
versions of IE to run, e.g. for testing websites. It worked with no
apparent problems for a while, but then it somehow damaged my system so
badly that it took about 28 hours of hard work to fix the damage done.
Now I do all my testing with multiple versions of IE using Microsoft's
Virtual PC, one of the two approved methods of doing so: it is a lot
slower than that package, but at least my PC is stable.

Yes, and I don't really care about " will result in an unsupportable
configuration by Microsoft Customer Support Services."

I care only about practical support, not MS support. I've never called
MS support in my life and I don't plan to anytime soon. If it works,
and if any potential problems have work-arounds that aren't a serious
burden or hack, then it works for me.
