Radio Shack usb to serial cable not working

I have a Radio Shack usb to serial cable that is not working on my Win7 computer.* I used this cable to hook my Garmin Etrex GPS to a computer running XP.* Radio Shack* says they don't have new drivers.* Is there another way to get around this problem?
